Kris’s passion for baseball sparked in childhood, fueled by watching his older brothers play. Growing up, he played for Midland Baseball traveling to compete against top teams and helping Midland secure National Championships in 2007 and 2009. At Batavia High School, Kris was a four-year varsity starter, setting a school record with a .444 career batting average. His excellence earned him four-time First Team Southern Buckeye Conference (SBCL) honors, two-time SBCL National Division Player of the Year in 2007 and 2009, and three First Team All-City selections from 2007 to 2009. Kris also gained national recognition, earning a spot on the Top Prospect Team at the 2007 Perfect Game National Underclass Showcase and contributing to Team Virginia’s championship at the 2007 BG National Battle of the States Showcase. This competitive foundation led him to Marshall University, where he played college baseball for two years before transferring to Northern Kentucky University to continue his athletic journey.
Now a continuous improvement leader at Altafiber, Kris applies the same discipline and focus from his playing days to drive innovation and efficiency in his professional life. Living in Milford with his wife, Tara, and their four children—Kyler, Leo, Bowen, and Cooper—Kris remains deeply tied to baseball. Drawing from his extensive experience with Midland and college baseball, he fosters a positive, driven team culture, encouraging young athletes to embrace challenges, support one another, and grow through competition.
Kris’s leadership shines both on the field and in his career, instilling values of hard work, resilience, and camaraderie in his children and players alike.
