College recruiting seminar shares important lessons with Flyers families

The PF Flyers organization’s goal is to help athletes play college baseball.

For the last two years, the organization has tapped players from the 2026 class who are committed to play in college to speak to families and players of all ages in the organization.

The goal is to help the younger players understand what they should be doing at their age to prepare themselves to be college prospects while helping the high school age players understand the recruiting landscape.

On Sunday, three players and a parent/coach spoke to more than 160 people about their journeys to college baseball. Two of the players were speaking just days before moving to college.

The speakers were:

• Rhys Canan, who graduated in 2026 from Walnut Hills High School, will pitch for Wright State.

• Tyler Schumacher, who graduated in 2026 from Campbell County, will pitch and play for Marshall.

• Reggie Watson III, who graduates from Moeller this spring, is committed to play for Louisville.

• Reggie Watson II, played baseball at Indiana and professional baseball, he also coaches and helped his son through the recruiting process.
